Neighborhood Development Company Announces the Construction Start on Two Dupont Circle Area Boutique Condominium Projects
Washington, DC. – August 19, 2013. Neighborhood Development Company (NDC) announces that construction recently commenced on two boutique condominium projects both located in the Dupont Circle area of Washington, DC. One property is located at 1816 19th Street, NW, and the other is located at 2142 O Street, N.W. Construction began on both properties in July of this year.
1816 19th Street is an historic building that is being redeveloped into five exclusive condominiums that present the ultimate choice for upscale urban living. The project is located just three blocks north of Dupont Circle – one of DC’s most popular and diverse neighborhoods – and is conveniently located near world class amenities including unique retail and shopping experiences, vibrant nightlife, and an array of cultural attractions.
The building was originally designed by the famed Washington DC Architect Waddy Wood, who designed many residential and commercial buildings in the early 20th century. Some of Mr. Wood’s iconic buildings include the Woodrow Wilson House, the Main Interior Building, and the Commercial National Bank Building to name a few. The project delivers 5 stunning units with high-end finishes and sizable floor plans. The crown jewel of the building is a two level penthouse unit. The expected delivery of the project is the early in the first quarter of 2014.
2142 O Street will be a stunning renovation of a long neglected building that is 3 blocks west of Dupont Circle. This boutique 9 unit loft condo building offers a unique product for the Dupont Circle Neighborhood. The building will contain large and spacious floor plans with many of the units offering private outdoor space. Seven of nine units will provide homes with two story living space.
The interior will consist of a clean high-end modern finish and sleek design coupled with unit sizes ranging from 650 sq. ft. to 1,700 sq. ft. This is a unique opportunity to own a spectacular condo in one of DC’s most sought after neighborhoods. The project is expected to be delivered to market at the end of the first quarter of 2014.
Both projects will have many of the same key players. Rich Markus Architects (http://richmarkusarchitects.com) is the architect for the both of the projects while Studio ID (http://studioidonline.com) is providing Interior Design services for both projects as well. NDC Builders, LLC, an affiliate of The Neighborhood Development Company is serving as the general contractor for both projects. The lender for both projects is OBA Bank (https://www.obabank.com).
