The Neighborhood Development Company (NDC) has completed the development of over 500,000 square feet of real estate and has a development pipeline of another 500,000 square feet.  In addition the company is a Joint Venture participant in public-private partnerships including the now completed CityVista project and the under construction CityCenter (Old Convention Center) project, both in Washington DC, and the State Center Project in Baltimore.  Collectively these projects represent over [4] million square feet of mixed-use space.  NDC has led the revitalization of the DC’s vital Georgia Avenue corridor, with over 400 housing units constructed or under development in this area, the introduction of neighborhood-serving retailers and the development of facilities for non-profit institutions and schools.

NDC has been recognized in numerous national and local publications.  Twice listed by Black Enterprise Magazine in their “BE 100” listing of top black owned businesses in the nation, the Company was also recognized by the Washington Business Journal as one of Washington DC’s “100 Top Private Companies” for 2009.  NDC’s The Residences at Georgia Avenue, Lamont Street Lofts, Lofts at Brightwood, and City Vista projects have received numerous design and project awards.  Adrian Washington, the founder of NDC, has received numerous individual awards reflecting his leadership in the industry.
