Construction Manager
- 10-15 years experience as a Project Manager and/or Superintendent Significant experience in multi-family construction, both urban renovation projects dealing with old structures and new stick built multi-family construction
- Must have good relationships with local subcontractors and be able to recommend such subs for contracts
- Ability to prepare scope sheets and obtain bids from subs
- Must be familiar with DC permitting requirements, public space requirements, and able to facilitate services by utilities including WASA, Pepco, Washington Gas, Verizon and Comcast
- Ability to run a jobsite as the superintendent and insure that budgets and schedules are met
- Ability to prepare project schedules
- Ability to creatively develop solutions for solving field problems in a cost effective manner and develop approaches for enhancing value of the project
- Must work well in a team environment and with high expectancy for success on every project.

Investments Analyst
The Investments Analyst will report to the Vice President of Investments and will support the goals of the Investments team. The role also will entail substantial research into topics related to real estate private equity investment and support of the team’s other activities such as reporting and business development.
Fund Raising
- Support Vice President of Investments in research and analysis for investor prospecting activities.
- Aid in preparation of responses for RFPs for new investor prospects.
- Assist with data needs and research to support due diligence requests by potential investors.
- Conduct research on topics relevant to the real estate private equity investment activity, including analyzing sectors, geographic markets, performance and return data, and such other topics as may be determined by the Vice President of Investments.
Investment
- Lead the writing and development of both the initial pitch material and descriptive memorandum for purpose of raising equity from investors and debt financing from financial institutions
- Research and analyze markets and submarkets to ascertain initial underwriting assumptions.
- Track and analyze industry trends and information. Produce written industry assessments for firm use.
- Create excel models of real estate investment opportunities to determine projected returns.
Investor Reporting
- Database upkeep with manager/custodian contact changes
- Prepare ad hoc and quarterly standard reports
- Develop charts and tables for presentations and publications
- Prepare client reports and presentations
- Assisting with special reporting, research, and due diligence projects on an ad hoc basis
- Conduct, as necessary, competitor analysis, performance contribution/attribution analysis, and work with investment professionals to organize investment-level data on a quarterly basis for reporting purposes.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree; Quantitative field of study strongly preferred
- 2-3 years of analytical experience in investment banking, consulting, investment management, or other similar fields
- Sound knowledge of Real Estate/Private Equity investment
- Competence with Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
